W. Bro. Trevor B. Clarke

Trevor was born on the 1st May 1943 in Southgate, and educated in Edmonton and Tottenham.

He is married to Jeanette and has 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter.

Trevor and Jeanette have lived in Bishops Stortford since 1985

Trevor was trained as an Accountant but has never practised as he has always held positions in Industry as Financial Director/Chief Executive.

His last position held until his retirement in April 2001 was as Company Secretary/CEO to the London Based Industrial and Provident Friendly Society know as Owner Drivers Radio Taxi Service Ltd.  This comprised a little over 1500 London Licensed Taxi Drivers on a radio circuit with a 24 hour, 365 days a year office and control room with a staff of 140 all directly accountable to Trevor who along with an elected Board of Management ran the business.  He held this position for 15 years overseeing the company’s turnover rise from £5 million in 1985 to £34 million by the time of his retirement.

Trevor was initiated into Freemasonry in the Halsey Hall Lodge No. 4752 at Cheshunt on 28th February 1988, and was master of this Lodge in 1995, 1996, 2009 and 2010, as well as holding the office of Treasurer since 1999.  He was appointed as a Provincial Grand Steward in 2002 and promoted to Provincial Grand Supt of Works in 2008.

Exalted into Halsey Hall Chapter No. 4752 in 1990 and took over as Treasurer in 1993 a position he still holds today, having been ‘Z’ in 2004 and promoted to Provincial Grand Standard Bearer in 2008.

Joined the Mark Degree in Essex in 1996 at Forest of Waltham Lodge No. 1444 and was Master in 2001, and Commander of the RAM Lodge in 2004.  Joined Cheshunt Lodge No. 1047 and was Master and Commander in 2007 and has been promoted to Provincial Grand Senior Overseer in 2009, Deputy Provincial Secretary in 2010 and now Provincial Secretary in 2011.

Trevor holds membership in the Royal & Select Masters and Operatives.

Outside of Masonry Trevor lists his hobbies as, time with the family, cricket and football, with odd rugby match throw in.  His great love however is the sea and along with Jeanette they spend most of their holiday time travelling the world as part of the cruising world.
