The annual come to Tolmers Fortnight. Chris Rainbow the site manager had kindly invited us to a cream tea at the Activity Centre.
When we arrived there were over six hundred scouts and Guides two hundred leaders and volunteers Activities included a climbing wall plus over forty other activities.
Chris told us that this week was not a busy one (if that’s not busy, I would not know where to start).
There were tents in every area with camp fires going and sausages cooking, altogether a great atmosphere.
Our group consisted of PGM Chris Radmore his wife Brenda the DPGM Richard Walker and his wife Geraldine, PGSec Trevor Clarke and his wife Jeanette yours truly and my wife Sandra and Paul Ostwind.
The cream tea was served by young guides who were very pleasant and polite. We then had a tour of the site which completed a very pleasant afternoon. Chris Rainbow and his team are doing a great job and I am happy to say that Hertfordshire Mark Masonry is supporting them.
