Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master
I have pleasure in presenting my Annual Report on the Royal Ark Mariner Degree, covering the period from 1st September 2007 to the 31st August 2008.
I am pleased to report that last year was a year of consolidation after the net losses of previous years.
The number of brethren Elevated has remained constant but we actually had fewer resignations than the previous two years.
The ‘Exit’ forms continue to provide good feedback and, from those we can see the continuing trend for members to reduce their multiple memberships.
After six years, I am standing down as Provincial Registrar at the Provincial Meeting next week. During my term in office I have worked hard to eliminate the continued discrepancies between the Grand Lodge Returns and the Provincial Returns and I thank all Scribes for their assistance in my endeavours.
When I hand over to my successor, W. Bro. Peter Boughton, I am confident he will work with the Provincial Grand Secretary, and the Provincial Database, to continue to provide the Provincial Grand Master, and the Executive, with accurate and up-to-date information on our membership, vital to safeguard our future.
