Provincial Grand Treasurer's Annual Report 2006
Provincial Grand Master and brethren I have much pleasure in presenting my first accounts as Provincial Treasurer. In respect of the General Fund, the Province remains in a sound financial position with some £13,700 in the bank. During the year we made a modest loss but after adjusting for depreciation the operating cash flow was positive. Accordingly, I am pleased to report that there is no need to adjust the level of annual subscriptions in the forthcoming year. It is the intention to contribute from the General Fund some £2,000 to allow the Provincial Grand Lodge of Hertfordshire to reduce the mortgage it has on Fleet House. Accordingly, our liquid resources are forecast to fall in the forthcoming year but we still will remain in a healthy position. This expenditure was approved at the last meeting of the General Purpose Committee and is mentioned now purely for information. In respect of the Benevolent Fund, we collected over £15,000 and allocated over £11,000. Total resources available to the Benevolent Fund are now in excess of £50,000. I submit the audited accounts of both the General Fund and Benevolent Fund to the brethren for adoption.
