Provincial Grand Secretary's

Annual Report
RW Provincial Grand Master it gives me great pleasure to submit my third Annual Report as Provincial Grand Secretary.
The Province has had another busy year under your direction and the Provincial Officers of the year have supported you or members of your Executive representing the Province at every installation meeting of your Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Lodges.
The Provincial Officers demonstrated the ceremony of elevation in the Lea Valley RAM Lodge No 909 in March and the ceremony of advancement in the James Parsons Mark Lodge No 974 in May.
The meeting at James Parsons Mark Lodge coincided happily with the 50th anniversary of the advancement of W Bro Don Green and on that occasion you presented him with certificates and letters of appreciation from Grand Lodge and from Provincial Grand Lodge. You travelled to Devon with some of your Provincial Officers to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the elevation of W Bro John Holmes of Halsey Lodge. This event was hosted by the brethren of True Love and Unity RAM Lodge No 1159 in Brixham and was attended by the PGM of Devonshire.
In October you consecrated the Provincial Stewards Lodge No 1880 and in March you dedicated the new banner of the Harpenden Mark Lodge No 1254. Cheshunt RAM Lodge celebrated its Golden Jubilee in June and Chevalier Mark Lodge celebrated its Silver Jubilee in March. You were well supported by your Provincial Officers at both of these events.
In April you presided over the annual Festival of the Grand Master’s Lodges of Instruction at Mark Masons’ Hall in London. This event was attended by approximately 100 brethren from Hertfordshire and a number of Hertfordshire brethren took part in the ceremonies.
The Royal Ark Mariner Assembly was held under the banner of the Hertfordshire Installed Commanders Lodge No 1121 in June, at which you invested the recipients of Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank.
The annual meeting of Grand Officers in Hertfordshire took place in January.
In March the Provincial Executive met the students at the University of Hertfordshire who have been awarded the Mark Masons of Hertfordshire scholarships.
On the social front a very successful dinner was held in November at Great Wymondley to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the establishment of this Province, in March about 80 members of the Province and their wives, partners and families enjoyed a weekend away in Reims and the 5th annual golf day was held at Chesfield Downs Golf Club in May.
Finally I would like to thank my Deputy and Assistant as well as all the Lodge secretaries and scribes for their hard work and contributing to another successful year for the Province.
Chris Radmore, PAGDC, RAMGR
Provincial Grand Secretary
