Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Hertfordshire

The Provincial Grand Lodge of Hertfordshire was founded in 1797.

There are over 200 Masonic Lodges in the Province of Hertfordshire.

Hertfordshire is the ninth largest Masonic Province in England.

The first recorded meeting of a Lodge in Hertfordshire was in 1739 when Lodge No 181 met at the Red Rampant Lyon Inn in St Albans.

Two Lodges formed in 1829, Hertford Lodge No 403 and Watford Lodge No 404, still flourish to this day.
