Charity Certificates

The R W Provincial Grand Master has decided that, in order to recognise personal donations to the Provincial Mark Benevolent Fund, he will award certificates to individual brethren to recognise their different levels of contribution.

Any monies collected in this way will also be credited to the member's Lodge for the award of further Mauls and Sceptres.

The Certificates will be awarded for donations as follows:

Donor £100
Vice-Patron £250
Patron £500
Grand Patron £1,000

A number of these new certificates have already been earned, to date that includes nine Grand Patron's, twenty-two Patron's, forty-three Vice-Patron's and one-hundred-and-twenty Donor's Certificates. It is hoped that the recipients will be pleased to have them presented in Open Lodge, although a private presentation can be arranged if preferred. The presentations will be made by members of the Provincial Executive.

This new initiative has made a major contribution towards the target of £50,000 for the second ambulance for the Order of St John which was presented to The Order of St John at the Abbey Church and Cathedral of St Alban on Sunday 22nd May 2005 almost exactly four years after the first one.

The first ambulance was presented and dedicated at St Albans Abbey Cathedral on 20th May 2001. Below is a small picture of R W Bro Keith Emmerson handing the keys to the Crusader 900 Ambulance to the head of the Order of St John in Hertfordshire.
