Provincial Grand Almoner's Annual Report
The year has been a very active one attending to the needs of those in distress. We have instigated several petitions with Mark Grand Lodge for new cases and still attend to the continuing needs of others.
We held our annual meeting for Lodge almoners and enjoyed the hospitality of Radlett Centre. The subject matter this year was a single topic of the new Mark Benevolent Fund as administered from MMH. We were very fortunate to have the services of VW Bro Jerry Gangadeen as our guest speaker. The subject was approached from a very simple and interesting angle and all the Lodge almoners who attended expressed their thanks for the information received.
I am also making an effort to attend individual Lodge meetings to make some pertinent points to the members. All I ask is 5 to 8 minutes in the rising at a regular meeting.
I would like to express my gratitude to our Past Provincial Grand Master R W Bro Keith Emmerson for his support during my time of service as almoner. I would again like to thank the Craft Provincial Almoner, W Bro George Taylor, for the help he provides when I call for it. We do try to have an interchange of information and opinions when called for.
